I have rtek v 2.0, it comes with a deflood mode that cuts off fuel when accelerator is pushed to the floor. I was wondering if i had to do something to engage this feature. when i press accelerator to the floor, it does not cut off fuel to the engine. when i pull the relay under the hood, it stops fuel fine to deflood. how can it get it to work when i press the accelerator?

check your TPS readings. If the TPS is out of spec then the deflood will not work properly. I had this rproblem recently (I have an Rtek 1.7), replaced my tps and walla, it is fixed. You should be a ble to see the tps signal since you have the 2,0 model, do some logs and it should show it is not functioning right.
Easy to check your TPS with the 2.0, go to the logging screen, select TPS and then slowly push the accelerator. You should see the TPS reading go smoothly from 20% to 100%. If it doesn't go above 75% or so, then deflood wont be activated. Also, on the diag screen, check that the starter input shows a "tick" when the starter is engaged. Deflood is only activated when the starter is engaged and the TPS is above 75% or so.
well adjusted tps to 20% at idle while car was fully warm WOT is 99% for what you guys say it should work but it still doesnt. any other suggestions thanx for the help

well, IN my experience with a TPS failing it may not fail every time if you move it took quickly(may only happen when it gets in a worn spot). Anway, when you are watching your map with the Palm if it says it is above 75% then try to start the car. If it wont then the deflood is working correctly.
What exactly do you mean out of spec? If its out of spec is it just bad? Didnt notice any adjustment. i have a 1.8 and just installed some 720's and now after running it, cranked right up the first time. The deflood isnt working. Might it have something to do with my throttle cable being a little to tight? My idle is right around 2200-2500rpm. Also about how much is a new tps? Is it a dealer only item ussualy or can you find them at auto parts stores? thanks
I know that... but after holding it to the floor and turning it over several times, then releasing... the car is still flooded and will not start. It very well could be another reason, but once it was started it ran fine. The first time i started it it cranked and ran fine, then once it was hot and I tired to restart it was flooded and wouldnt clear unless I pulled the fuse and did it the old fashioned way. I guess its the TPS bad or something
