Whats needed for Wideband with 2.0?

I currently running rtek 2.0 and was wondering what I need besides the wideband o2 sensor to check the AFR? I heard it can plug into one of the sensors on the car, so does that mean I dont need to buy the logging programs ect... Thanks Dane

Nope, no logging programs. You can do it all with your Palm pilot and export to you computer. Just get a Wideband, check which ones work best with the Rtek, plug it in to the APT (is that right or is it APS) and your good to go. I have a PLX and it ties in very nicly to the 2.0

You'll need a wideband "controller" in addition to the sensor. As long as it has a linear output (most do) then its easy to connect to the 2.0 which can then serve as display/logger. I have a TechEdge

So i do need a controller? I was under the assumption I could just plug the wide band into the APS and get the readings through my PDA?

A lot of people get confused regarding widebands. Basically you can think of a wideband system as having three parts; then sensor (which is what most people talk about), the controller (a wideband sensor needs a fairly sophisticated controller to make it work), and the display. The rtek2.0 can be used as the display but you still need the other two pieces of the system. Connecting it up to the rtek gives you the additional benefit of co-ordinated logging along with anything else the rtek can log.

Thanks, sorry for being ignorrant. I just never got to advance tuning where I ever needed one and was uneducated. I Appreciated the info. Thanks again, now I geuss I am off to find some decent prices controllers :P.
