Hey, I have a 95 touring that is completly stock, except a Raceing Beat cat back exhaust. I installed a PFC because my stock ECU stopped controlling my coolant fans. Also wanted the future flexibility. The problem is very minor but weird. Car is in 100 percent excellent operating condition. New motor etc.. PFC works great except when I start the car cold with out pressing the gas. The pfc will let the idle go down to 850 rpm. if i tap the gas it will take it up to 1500 rmps where it should be. If i tap the gas before starting the car it works fine and idles at 1500 till it's warm and then drops down. Is it possible that my thermo wax or fast idle cam is not returning properly? or is it the pfc? Searched with no results. Pfc has 4 pins removed and has been setup per instructions. any ideas?

 

Cold start no tap on gas = idles low.
Cold start with prior tap of gas = normal.

I suggest you actually look at what is happening to the throttle body mechanics with this. You might figure it out on your own.

 

No problem, I will look at the TB again. Here is the catch I forgot to mention in the post. If I put the stock ECU back in the car it will work perfect.
