So iI should be getting the 2.0 in the mail this week, and im trying to find a way to mount the PDA in the dash some how, for on the fly monitoring, as well as easy access for tuning. Please post your setup for mounting your PDA, if you did something similar

What we did was run the cable into the glovebox. We wrap the Palm in foam and leave it logging while we race our auto-x events. Our thought for non-race situations was to use velcro and attach it to the dash just above the center vents.

I finally got around to finishing my setup, check it out:
I picked up this Tungsten T3 for about $150, it has a nice backlit color screen good for using at night.
I also picked up a TomTom Navigator 5 system, which works through bluetooth connection to the pda to enable realtime GPS navigation that ran me about $200 new
I also ordered the Tungsten t3 serial cable from pocketlogger, since it didnt come with one.
Next, i made a mount for the pda. i cut, sanded & painted a piece of thin aluminum and with a small bend on one side. Attached velcro to the back of it and the pda
i drilled two small holes into the center console, and screwed down the mount:
next came the difficult part.. I wanted a way to keep the pda charged using the car's power, but the Tungsten t3 has no separate power port.. It gets charged through its cradle, which connects through its own proprietary connector. So, i found the pinout for the connector, and it turns out pin 0 was GND and Pin 16 was 5V charge.. it also turns out the TomTom came with a 12V to 5V adapter So i gutted the adapter, wired the input straight to 12V (used the power source from the cig lighter), and split the output into 2: one for the TomTom receiver and one for the PDA. I took apart pocketloggers cable, and soldered a pair of wires to Pin 0 and 16, and made a connector to connect to the 5V adapter. Heres a pic of the modified pda connector:
So now, the pda charges whenever teh ignition is on, so you dont ever have to worry about charging your PDA
final result:
it works pretty good, no problems so far. but i havent had a chance to drive it yet and test the GPS due to the turbo being upgraded. so i may have to find a better spot for the receiver.. right now i just have it under the stereo. but it shouldnt be too difficult to route it up to the dash and mount it under the windshield somewhere
but it should work out pretty well, you can have it set to show rtek log data while driving or the GPS navigator constantly without batteries running out
I'm wanting to do this as well, I have one question about the pinout/wire color on the pda's serial end since I must have pinched the cable at one time. thanks
the only thing that sucks is that my GPS reciever has to be powered on manually every time you use it, I wish it would just power on whenever the ignition was turned on, but no..
no, its a momentary digital button on the receiver itself.. to turn the receiver on, you have to hold the button down for 3 seconds, so no easy way to rewire it..
sexy, thanks a bunch, i guess i'll be buying a T3 as well for my tii, and i just realized you have the same JVC deck that i do, only mine is still sitting in a box LOL.

Thanks that pinout helped alot, now I think I need to figure why my T3 or ecu drops signal for under a second and comes back. Again thanks
ive seen that too, on both the T3 and my old m100. especially when changing values in the timing tables. i think its a fault with the pocketlogger software
