GTUs Suspension

I have a 90 RX-7 GTUs, well I know that the GTUs come with TII suspension parts but I dont know if it has a full TII suspension. I am looking to replace some parts i.e shocks, some lowering springs, etc. Well do I have to buy them like Im buying them for a TII? If anyone else can help me and give me a little heads up as to what I need to buy I would really appreciate it.

I have an '89 GTUs, every normal FC suspension part should bolt up. As a matter of fact, I am converting the competition car back to Stock trim to race with the SCCA against the MR-2's and Porsche 944....

I have AWR strut tower braces, Mazdaspeed lower chassis brace, corksport rear upper brace, AWR custom strut housings with Bilstein Motorsports inserts, full coilover hardware and springs, AWR spherical bearing upper mounts for the rear, Bilstein rear coilover shocks (Porsche 914-6), Eibach adjustable rear sway bar (I am keeping the front), GTUs aluminum control arms with urethane bushings and balljoint modification for AWR housings, Mazdaspeed pullies, etc. All have less than 3K miles on them.

I know this is not the For Sale section, but these parts all fit for sure on a GTUs....and you asked :-) jamesnwilson@hotmail.com

Going back to Stock...great track and autocross suspension, we won the SCCA Solo2 National Tour in San Diego and the ProSolo Series race the following weekend back in March.

Well i ran into a problem when i bent my control arm, i now know the 89 GTU has different control arms than the FC's before it, the 89 GTU has a built in balljoint that you cannot take out of the control arm, while for say the 88 has a balljoint that bolts in the control arm which you can replace, and the control arm itself is longer. The control links are also differnt, the 89 GTU's are thicker and more dependant, while the 88's are thin POS. They do bolt up however. I had to replace these parts on my car and had to find this out the hard way. oh and the 89 GTU doesnt have adjustable camber, so my car cant get a proper alignment, so i need to buy either camber bolts and grind out the current bolts in the strut down near the bottom, or buy an adjustable camber plate that bolts on the top of the strut mount which is around 300 bucks... sigh... i dont really know where im going w/ this but im just trying to say, whether its stock peices or aftermarket stuff, make sure you know for sure things will fit before buying them, ask around in forums and get responses, dont go off of discriptions sites, and ebay have. because my GTU has so many different peices than other model FCs. Good luck.

and if any1 knows where i can find an adjustable camber plate strut mount for under $280-$300, please please let me know, i need one asap before my tire is dead, lol. Thanks.

I have some AWR camber caster plates brand new never installed that I will sell for $200 shipped in the cont. US. These plates will require you to use Bilstein inserts and a modified lower strut housing.

Ah, I happen to have said Bilsteins and AWR custom strut housings for sale with less than 3K miles on them...

I will compile a list and post it in the For Sale section.
