Make a Poll>>>What colour looks best on a 2nd Gen?

After owning my 7 for the past 3 years I'm getting sick of the original sunshine red and want to make a drastic change in colour to my car. I was leaning towards a shiny silver but thought that would be a little too much and am now leaning towards black like my friends 1st gen
I'm looking to paint my car this spring and want to paint it the colour that looks the best for this car. I don't know how to set up a poll so I was wondering if a poll can be set up with like 10 popular colours to choose from and ask: "What colour looks best on the second generation RX7?"

Can we make these polls ourselves or does a moderator have to set it up?

I want a drastic change, and besides I ain't doing the painting and I found a great deal from a guy who has his own garage and has painted cars for 20 years and will do all the sanding, extra body work and the painting for 1500 CAD.

Electron Blue Pearl.

I'd like to see one in that color.

(If you don't know what that color is find a pic of a Civic Si)

I like silvers for the coupe, for the verts though rich colors like dark blues, dark reds, blacks (but Black is a very high maintinance color).

SUPERSONIC BLUE!!!!!!!

thats the color of "some" Integra GSR's...i think its pretty sweet! kinda like a purple. wish i had a pic.

but dude, if you want a drastic change i agree with cymfc3s...if you wanna do it right thats gonna be a pain. you can half *** it and not do the engine bay and door jams, etc....but you might regret doing it later on...good luck

My Vert is currently in the paint shop, and we're going a drastic color change. It was red...then, it faded to what I like to call, a faded reddish-pink. But, I just went in today, picked out the color, and ordered the paint today. The color that I am going for is Porshe's Iris Blue Metallic. It's a beautiful color, and we're going to be doing the door jams and the underhood and trunk...just anywhere that will be visible so that it doesn't look like crap. It's going to cost just as much to get the door jams and stuff like that done as it is to get the rest of the car done, because it's going to be just as much work, but here's how I look at it. If I'm going to get a paint job on my car that's going to last me 15-20 years, then I'm going to get it done the way that I want, and I'm going to have it done right. It'll cost me extra to get the other stuff done, but it'll be worth it. Anyway, I should have it back by the end of next week, so I"ll post pics then so that y'all can see how it went! I'll probably do the before and afters. Anyway, good luck!!

God Bless,
<>< <>< Matt ><> ><>

Mine is faded red also. I wish it was black, but the color change is a budget buster. So next year I will go with dark red metallic!

couldn't you paint under the hood and other not so visible areas your self with spray paint? it's not like it's gotta be perfect and shiney under the hood, and it's possible to do a pretty decent job with a can of spray paint if you're careful.

yes you can but you still have to remove everything, and clean the grease off. it is a huge pain in the *** to change the color

hey felix is that exhaust going to your t2? cause my t2 is also white
and that is the best color

Yeah I'm putting it on the T2. Ours look just alike except for the wheels. And mines not getting a 20B

I think UPS played football with the box that exhaust came in, it got the hell beat out of it.

Black is a very high maintainance color, and yes it shows EVERY imperfection. But the satisfaction of having a black car and making it look good cant be beat.

That were some fast replys in like 12 hours. I was woried about the imperfections on the body cause mine has quite a few and it needs some body work on it too. What are the major areas that would make it look bad if I made the change from crap faded red to black?

That iris blue sounds kind of cool too. Is it the same blue that is on the Subaru? Post pics when you finsh it?

Door dings look aweful on black cars. They really show up at certain angles. If you want your car to look good with an imperfect body, stay away from black. It is also a PAIN to keep clean.
