I highly doubt it. Well, not reliably at all I would think. Obviously im not an expert, so we'll wait for others to chime in.

To give you an idea, I saw a 20B PP single turbo in turbo and high tech performance, it was making like around 1000hp as far as I remember. I really think you need that extra 3rd rotor.

Which one, Confinado?

Last I heard about PP + turbo, was that it is an extremely hard combination to tune, some people say it not worth it.

3-Rotor Race Engine

Racing Beat currently has available for sale a very rare Peripherally Ported, Mazda Race 13G 3-Rotor engine in Racing Beat-engineered, single turbocharger configuration.

The engine is a complete Racing Beat built package producing more than 1000 bhp at 8500 RPM with approximately 21 pounds of boost. Designed to run on methanol, thereby eliminating the need for an intercooler, the race engine package incorporates an EFI Systems Engine Management System supported by a Kinsler Fuel Injection gear-rotor mechanical fuel injection pump. As prepared by Racing Beat, the engine features a complete Peterson Fluid Systems 4-stage oil scavenging assembly. Additionally, the engine utilizes an HPD water pump mounted to a Racing Beat-designed, cast aluminum front cover. These race-proven Kinsler, Peterson, and HPD components are all Gilmer belt-driven peripherals. The turbo charger selected for thes package is the AirResearch T18A90 series with the M-4 compressor wheel. As equipped by Racing Beat, the turbocharger features a TIAL Waste Gate modified to minimize boost spikes.

Internally, the engine includes the following features:

- All tension bolts fully "pinned"
- Water jacket modification on all rotor housings
- Iannetti Ceramic Apex Seals 3mm
- 7.5 to 1 Low-compression ratio rotors, cast by Mazda Japan
- Exhaust manifold - Inconel 625, including all bellows.

For more information or specifications, contact Racing Beat and ask for Jim Tanner at 714-779-8677.

Only $48,000 from racingbeat.

^^^ That is rather tasty looking..
But kinda deflates when you consider AFR has a street driven fd with 850 rwhp on a 13b pport T51 . You would think all that hardware on the 13g would add up to more hp than that..Not to beat up on racing beat, but their project motors hp always seems a little low for all that exotic hardware and budget involved..Max

I would think that the difference between AFR's engine and racing beats engine regardless of cost would be a much longer reliability maybe? not to sure, don't flame me

People have made 1000hp on two rotors, just not too sure about rear wheel.

so the general rule would be that yes it's possible, but if you don't know exactly what you're doing it's going to be a poor idea.

I've seen some dynos in the mid to high 800 rwhp.
Ken Schepers Rx-8 made high 800's on a Mustang dyno and 940 rwhp on a Dynojet and that's with a side port 13b motor.

Side port! Damn how much boost did that take to make that much?

1000hp isnt impossible.
But the gt42r and the t51r are too small.
Two gt35rs on a pp 13b will make 1000hp or come very close to it.

Which jaytech do you have.
No one can tell you exactly but on around 30psi 700hp is possible. your turbos are fairly small.

Very Well Said... People don't realize what it takes to make serious power.
GT42 although looks big, it wont' make that kind of power(on a rotary)..
Good turbo for a street car though..

Two GT35 would do it but 1000hp at the rear wheels is not easy to make with two rotors but not impossible!!! 950 is the most i've ever heard of.
that's 475hp per rotor!!! That's Serious!
I'm sure someone will figure out how to get 500 per rotor.
I think PP Turbo w/ meth is the way to do it...
