Tuning idle with 850cc primaries

The past few days i have been tuning my car w/ the datalogit. I have no problems tuning WOT and acceleration while crusing, but when i try to tune a constant speed (P4, N5 N6 N7) and idle no matter how much i take out i cant get the A/F to go below 11.0. I searched a bit and i found some information leading me to believe that it is my 850cc primaries (i have 850cc primaries and 850cc secondaries). can anyone help me out w/ some settings to help me out.

Do you have O2 feedback turned *off* when you are logging AFR's?

On Datalogit SETTINGS 5 where the injectors are set up, use a negative value for the 850 primaries lag, this will lean it out. The PFC/DL tries to prevent you from entering direct small injector times for the idle and cruise areas.

This is what others have tried.

i had ill effects trying to use the negative number in lag timing.

i think it just happens to have something to do with the dynamics of the injector not working well with the dynamics of its manifold entry point.

i have had the port that runs to the primary injectors plugged all this time, and have wondered if that has something to do with the poor atomization. ive wanted to hook it back up, but i just dont know what that port needs to see in order to work properly.

any insight on that?

Im not sure what port you have blocked off, but for lag times, you need to go lower than -0.04 to get it to run right. You will have problems with it running lean and bucking in other low pressure areas of the map, so you will need to retune everything after you play with the settings.

For 850’s I am running -0.53 lag, and have the injector % set to 80%. I can get it to idle down to 13.5 AFR no problems.
