Work Emotion CRs on an FD?

Would any size of Work Emotion CRs fit on an FD? I'd be interested in 17" most likely. I searched but didn't find any info pertaining to the CRs. Thanks for any info, it'd be much appreciated. -Joe

You can find the Work Emotion's on this site. They have the correct offsets and width for an FD3S. What company are you going to order your rims from?

Yeah, I saw some stuff on the Emotions...but are the Emotion CRs any different in the fitting?...or is just the way they're built? Thanks for the link, funny enough that's where I first spotted them.

I heard the wait time to recieve a product from Gruppe-S is very long. It took another forum member about 2-3 months to recieve his rims. I might look for another shop to get my rims.

94-RHD-EFINI-RX7 - What rims are you interested in?

Also, does anyone know if the Emotion CRs will fit the same as the Emotions?

The Emotion's might be lighter than the Emotion CR's. I think the only noticeable difference between the Emotions and the Emotion CR's is the price, The Emotions are about double the price of the Emotion CR's.

yeah it seems just price and weight are the differences from what I'm seeing. It's too bad because I can't justify $1000US extra to lose 5-7lbs per wheel :S Although I do want light wheels and nice wheels...too bad I'm not a millionaire. They should've just made the rx-7 with heavy OEM wheels so we'd downgrade the weight no matter what and feel good about it...lol

PS - The Enkei RPF1s are really nice wheels too.

I believe the regular Emotions are forged, while the CRs are cast.

It's like this at EVERY shop that sources JDM products. Unless they stock the specific wheels in the exact color, sizes, and offsets which is doubtful, prepare to wait.

I think as long as you GET the rims then all is well. I wouldn't care waiting as long as I knew they were a reputable shop.

Yeah I believe you're right, hence the weight and price differences. Still don't know if that's worth an extra $1000 though considering both wheels are by the same company.

True, but "6 weeks" turned into 3 months, without them telling me about the extended wait. Plus they already had almost $2k of my money (per requirement for order) and Bulletproof Automotive received two containers within that time. However, they made good on me and refunded a large chunk, I believe they prolly gave them to me at cost and it was truly out of their hands. Only complaint is their communication could have been much better.

The only thing I'm worried about is they take the same amount of time to get my rims, but they don't give me a refund like you.

I could have gone somewhere else and gotten the rims alot sooner.

By the way AMRAAM4, Those are some sweet rims.

I was not entitled to a refund, it was a surprise to me. That shows good business on their end because they knew what kinda car they were going on and that it has a chance to be seen somewhere. Not to mention they deal mostly with Scuby's and 350z's so this was a rare car for them to be supplying parts for. One reason I think they gave back some money is because I would like to enter the car in some shows and they knew this, and I don't think they wanted me giving them bad publicity. That.....is smart bsuiness! Worked on me.

These shops would have to order them from Japan and you know how the exchange rate goes. Call them if you really want to know.

Richard (BicuspiD here) will give you a damn good deal. He and I talked about getting me my Advans however things got mixed up in communication and I ended up going with Gruppe-S because I thought he wasn't getting back to me. He will beat prices and I got my Advans for less than what Gruppe-S has on there site (before their refund I am talking) and I am sure BicuspiD would have beat it. The 2 of them are probably one of the few aggressive Advan dealers in the US
