89+ turbo motor in 87 turbo body?

89+ turbo motor in 87 turbo body?

How hard is this? what all is differant reason is 89-91 jspec engines seem easyer to find who know maybe you guys can help me out

Not too hard to do. Replace the ECU and dash along with the wiring harness and engine. The 87-88's in Japan are not around as much as the 89-91's are, so there are more engines from 89-91's.

Does the wireing harness that goes up threw the dash need t be replaced to? of just the one that runs threw the fire wall on the passernger side that goes to the computer and other conections

swap

I have an 88 t II and put the 89+ engine in with no problems. The reason is.....I have the late 88 model with the n333 which can control the injectors (high impedance). The only thing you will not be able to hook up properly is the oil metering pump. Ours came mechanical...89+ is electrical. But no worries. Just use 2cycle premix in your gas tank and you will be fine. Good luck.
