Mazda should make a new rotary truck

imagine that... a 250 hp(albeit low torque) renesis powered B series truck... maybe instead of calling it a B series theyd call it a R series or something... thatd be awesome... and put the big Rotary Truck badge across the tailgate, itd rock!

Thats CRAZY!! I was thinking to myself today.....Would'nt it be neat if Mazda brought out the origonal plans of either a repu, or maybe a 1st gen Rx-7, and made it with a Renisis. Or course, update the transmition, seats, larger wheels, brakes etc.... but leave body style 90% the same. Then sell them for around 20k new. I dunno...I was just day dreaming. CJ

For some reason I like the old REPU, but it doesn't seem like it's that good of an idea for today. Would any suggest Honda make a S2000 engined truck called the T2000?

The old rotary truck had an advantage as it was faster/lighter than other trucks. Piston engines have caught up to rotary developement.

Remake the pick-up with pickup? Or the little truck that hauls? I dont know how well a low torque mini truck would sell these days, people want their 25 foot long SUV with a 12 liter V8, not a zippy little truck that would be fun to drive. Personally, I would be right there in line to get one.

Yeah, people today are really stupid. Duh I want to spend $30,000 on something that looks like the dog's breakfast. Tell me about the rabbits, George.

Why can't there be a 3 rotor Renesis? It's just a really modified 13B. The 20B is based on a 13B.

if i am not mistaken the renesis has shared exhaust
port in the center housing on the 13b both the rear
and front rotors exhaust through the center housing.
so on the 20b use the wide housing and put exhaust
ports in that, it can be done i am sure, but i mazda will
never do it, the 20b is to much of a fuel pig to sell
in today's market.
