Share how you passed emmissions inspection

Someone please put a sticky on this. This thread is to help the poor souls (like me) who must endure emmissions inspections. How did you get your single turbo RX-7 to pass? Did you use a shady mechanic- how did it work? Did you use a GM electric air pump? How did the install go? Everyone needs to pitch in with both questions and answers.

Go to the worst looking shop you can find that says they do "emissions work" . I'm sure you'll be able to work something out. Going rate around here is 150.

My car failed big time. I bought it like this so had no stock emmissions at all, no cats, nothing. I just had to register my car at my friends where you do not need to take the test. It was better than trying to pay all the money and have my car run like crap.

I have 2 methods that have worked.

1) Ask around. $100 has gotten me passed. Most people that are into cars "knows someone".

2) Get a Mailbox ect box In a county that doesn't test. Their Mail box numbers look just like street address. You won't be questioned when you register your car at that address.
