Thumbs down HELP!!! My fuel pump died on me!!!

It looks like someone had an atermarket fuel pump of some kind on there, but im not sure what kind. Do I need a certain kind, or will any kind work? Or at least one from a second gen? Theres only one on ebay and its been bid on a few times,.,.,.and AutoZone wanted $195 for one... if anyone has a working used one that theyd like to get rid of, for not too much $$, let me know

thanks, Jeff B

mine died a month ago so i got a NAPA one, $48, it works, but sounds like a fish tank pump. If your car is basically stock it will work fine. It seems to run out of guts at redline, but that doesn't matter much.

Well I dropped the tank today,.,.I had to find the leak anyway..and i did. Apperently someone had taken the fuel tank sending unit out, and lost the screws, so they layered it with some sort of gas tank quick seal. needless to say that rotted away causeing a leak..So if anyone knows where I can get a working sending unit, please let me know.. im having the tank cleaned and i might as well havve a working gas guage.

onepointone: check your PM

thanks alot,
Jeff B

Go to the 'parts for sale' section and find the post from WAM.
He's got everything you'll need, sending me a sending unit today.
Good Luck.

I have a spare stock fuel pump, and might have a sending unit as well.
