I´ve been thinking all the time that i need a HKS S-AFR or Apexi S-AFC and 2 720cc´s in tje rear to add fuel, but now i wwonder if i justcant max the stock injectors a little bit more with any of these devices? I have a hybrid turbo, fcd and manual boostcontroller, and i will not boost more than 10,5 psi anyway. So, i know they are good to downtune bigger than stock injecotrs, but what happens if i install just the fuelcomputer, can i increase fuel than as well?

Before you buy a piggyback fuel computer, you should really get a EGT gauge. Your going to need one to monitor temps before and after adding fuel.

My TII runs vary good with 14psi with the stock fuel system, and my AFC turned into a $280 pice of eye candy.

If your going to buy a fuel computer? I would recommend the S-AFC over the HKS unit! The HKS is not the easy to tune and has no display, If you like a good challend then the HKS is for you.

Think about how far your going to go with your car!! Buying piggybacks are only going to allow you to do so much with the stock computer.

 

I went for the HKS F-CON instead, since i got one brand new for a good price. Now i just cant wait to get a boostcontroller as well and start to tune! Yeah i now the limits with the F-con, but it will tune some and i will have 260-270 bhp wich is good enough for me. I have a FD pump and will clean my injectors, but will keep them for now. Then i will see what happens when i crank the boost to 9-10 psi! Yeas i have the gauges needed and i will only tune and crank up boost on rolling road, since its more safe. For street, i will turn i t down if i dont get a safe reslut on the rolling road.

I sure hope it's not ALL stock - that's a recipe for a popped motor right there!

IMHO the biggest trouble spot is before the 3800 RPM crossover - the stock computer just doesn't run the primaries as hard as they can go, and you really can get VERY lean at that point. That's where a lot of motors let loose, especially under heavy load.

To answer the original question, the Greddy E-manage is the only piggyback that can directly add pulsewidth to the stock injectors. The FCON will run the hell out of the stock injectors and really works well, but you can't tune it. It is nice, though, from a simplicity standpoint - plug it in and go.
