Asking for a friend who is not on the board. He is running a PFC, stock primaries, and 1300's for secondaries, w/a supra fuel pump.
Question is does he need to do more to the fueling system and EMS system before moving up to a GT3540? If so what is reccomended?

Check out Max Coopers site and do the calculations based on what boost you're going to run along with the specifics of BSFC of the engine and what fuel pressure you're going to run.
If you run STOCK fuel pressure (with at least an upgraded pump!) on a stock block at not more than 85% duty cycle, you'll only support 381 RWHP.
I ran 100% duty cycle for awhile and toasted my injectors, burnt the O-rings too.
Here is the MOST important reason you need to plan to run 80% or below:
AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE!
What most people are ignore is that the PFC will factor the basemap and correction factor based on certain temperature ranges.
I hit 90% duty cycle on my car (see mods below) in ~20C weather where I was tuned to hold a very rich 11.0 AFR running 14psi. This is with 850/1300s! I doubt I am putting out over 400RWHP.
Do your buddy a favor and filter out the noise from the signal and tell him to do the math. Running anything less than 550/1600 for around 15psi boost is trouble waiting to happen when the temperature drops.

Tell your friend to run two Nipendenso (Supra) pumps inline and get the 1600cc secondaries and he won't have any problems at all unless he wants to run more than 24psi. The one Nipendenso is supposed to be good for 500hp. My friend runs two of his pumps inline in his Supra and he puts down 733rwhp, so I know its good for you.

what fuel setup do i need to run a t78? i have the secondary with the 1600's but am unsure what size pump i need to run. do i need to upgrade my primaries? i have the RP pump but dont know if it will be big enough. thanks.---j

But is that at stock fuel pressure??? I doubt it unless Peter's dyno roller has some holes drilled in it lol

I have a dual feed pump in development. It's a bracket and fitting kit to turn your single pump into dual in tank pickups. Can ALMOST be used with any pump. Currently prototyping with the Walbro 341 and the Nippon Denso (I don't have 1 or 2 SR's to work with right now).
