Will an FD steering wheel fit directly to an FC?

Will an FD steering wheel fit directly to an FC?
I have the opportunity to get a steering wheel from an FD and I'd like to switch 'em out if the FD's wheel is smaller than the FC's. It has a 17mm female mounting space and is 14.5 inches in diameter. Is that smaller than the FC's?

Anyone?

i've heard that the FD steering wheels are a direct bolt-on, but i'm not sure.
