1. The Rx-7 is definitely my favorite. But, that is mostly because I don't know much about anything other than the RX-7 and 8

3. I came to this site for information on modifying my college's club car - an '85 RX-7. I'm from Rose-Hulman and we have an autocross prepped car and no real experts in the club.

4. Of course I would!!!

5. I've heard of these port jobs and what they are, but don't know enough to have a preference.

6. I wasn't with the club when they bought the car.

1) What model Rotary car/truck was/is your favorite?
Definatly the S4 Rx7 TII , I am biased because I own one lol.

2) What was the best thing about the car?
Looks sexy and is rather unique comapred to other cars in my area, I love being able to go to the local 1/4 dragway (Cordova Dragway Park) and be the only rx-7 there and only rotary engine for that matter. 80% of cars there are either Mustang's or Camaro's old v8's etc.

3) What brought you to this site, Information, Friends, Selling, Buying, ect. ?

I was rather nervous about buying my first rotary vehicle. I knew very little about the rx-7 just what I had learned from working on my friends 86 base.

I drove the car all the way back from chicago (250 miles). I had a lot of faith in the car and it made it the whole way back even after getting hot in Chicago traffic!

4) Would you go to Rotary Events if they where close to you 50-75 Miles?

I would be all over rotary events within 150mi. of the quad cities area IL

5) What port job do you like more, Streetport, Bridgeport, P-Port, Other?

Stock ports! or streetported!

6) What was the first mod you did on your car?

gutted cat and mbc

I have been an RX-7 fan since my dad taught me to drive on his first gen. Since then, I've had about 6 different cars, including an FD for 5 months before I had to sell it and join the Army. I moved around a lot in the military, most of my time spent in Georgia. Now I'm back in Oregon, and drivin' my white series 5.

FD RX7 (all of them), they are mega badass but the best part would have to be the sound. Pretty much just here for information and eye candy. I sure would but I dont have a rotary yet. Not sure on ports but bridgeports seem to be popular.

First mod, probably getting some tri-spoke rims apart form doing small stuff like a sound system or interior mods like replacing bulbs with led and reapulstering some trims.

The first time I saw an FD up close was driving home from the movies with a friend when I just got my license and a white one FLEW past me and it was amazingly cool.

Talking My first RX 7 and liking it lots!!!!!!

At last I found a ready made RX 7 for cheap. It has a ready installed 305 SBC with a Hydromatic. Since I can't use my left leg any more this is perfect for me.

I need to replace the drivers side floor panel after sand blasting it all out and of course dismanteling it so I can get a that rascally body rust. Here in Ontraio Canada there's soooooooooo much salt poured on the roads during the winter time I'm surprised that the lakes aern't salt water lakes??? May be later!

SO I have already started things off by cutting the radiater top bracing sheet metal off and reforming it so that the radiater, it's farther ahead and bigger than the stock RX rad, so that it can be removed with out dissassembaling the hole front end sheet metal.......or removing the motor/trany........ some peoples children, well at least they tried!. I formed it by runing over my BIG HAMMER!!!!!!!!!!, then, english wheel to remove the hamer prints, leaving the origanl header panel attachment points in place. Then making 2 wings to spot weld to just the under side of the hood hindge areas so that the sheet metal ( TR =Top Rad support ) is attached by 8 - 6 MM bolts . Of course this will be after I finish my trailer off now.

I plan on starting on the RX in January, after I get my self and my small buisnes moving in a faverable direction hope hope, wish wish......... but I love metal fabrication so why not! That's the RX feverish appitight EH !!!!

Curerntly looking for a set of steel rims with the same RX 7 79 4 bolt patern. I now have a set of Chevy rims 5 on 4 3/4. Modify them to fit the RX. Then I have fat tires Ft & Rear = more RX EYE Candy!!!!!! Fitted with wide fenders that I plan on making look like it came right off the race track. BIG MEATS !!!!!!!!!!! BIG FENDERS!!!!!!!!!!! BIG * BELOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How fast can you go standing still at an ideal???? Bazillions of MPH. especialy in an RX. These thing look like a torpedo waiting to destoy some one elses ego

It's great to run into this site where guys can swap ideas and all kinds of ideas about simulare RXs EH !! Looking forward to conversing with you all !

Drive on Dudes!!!!!!!!!!!

Introduction Questionaire

1) What model Rotary car/truck was/is your favorite?
Rx7 S3 -- 13B

2) What was the best thing about the car?
The 13B engine was just enough zoom to make this car fun. The GSL-SE had good suspension and capability for good

aftermarket tires such that was/is a very light-weight and nimble car with excellent handling.

3) What brought you to this site, Information, Friends, Selling, Buying, ect. ?
Information on restoring a 1984 GSL-SE ... is it possible for a cost conscious and effective restoration ?

4) Would you go to Rotary Events if they where close to you 50-75 Miles?
Depends on timing ... its already crazy for me during the summer months ... if it fits into the craziness, then yes

5) What port job do you like more, Streetport, Bridgeport, P-Port, Other?
No idea yet ??

6) What was the first mod you did on your car?
New suspension components and aftermarket tires/wheels. Very 'Sticky' on the street, almost like a go-kart that is road-worthy.

Talking Question # 2 =

IT's SOOOOOOO small!!!!!!!!!!!! Like I said earlier it's looks like a torpedo! And so is the size. Just about like the early belly tank racers of old that utilized an aircraft belly mounted fuel tank and then they put all the car stuffed into it!!!!!! and went land speed racing!!!!!! now the RX is Hot Rod'n even if you do nothing to them! Hot digidy,. These cars are the bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CorV8tor Thinking about changing my on line name too ! ??? HMMMMM lets seee...
