Hello there! Each day is a new adventure with my 87TII and I have finding things to tidy up and get rid of. Near my passenger headlight, I have this round white connector with 6 blue wires going to it. What are these for? Also you can see 4 whitish wires were cut from the harness. What were these for?
thanks!

The whitish wires likely went to the strut actuators. Even if the car wasn't equipped with electric suspension, several models had the connectors near each strut tower anyways. Someone probably cut the short harness to the plug in favor of cleaning up the engine bay. Look at the opposite side strut tower to see if the connector is there as well. Similar whitish wires.
I looked at my factory wiring diagram and confirmed this for you. The white round connector with blue wires belongs to the fuel pump resistor/ relay unit. See the fresh electrical tape in your pic????.....someone has done the fuel pump rewire mod for you. And the whitish wires went to a plug that connects to the strut actuators if you had electric suspension. If yours doesn't, the connector would be there for it regardless.
i would think the body harnesses on TII and GXL would be the same, because of all the accessories in common, and the harnesses on sport/luxury/base/(S4) gtu models would be the same, that way they can make only 2 harnesses instead of one per model.

and some other stuff.
Interestingly, I just worked on a '88 GTU model yesterday that had the strut connectors, but obviously no strut actuators. I was curious enough to pop off the console switch plate hoping to see a suspension switch connector tucked in there, but none to be found. Not a true plug-n-play setup for sure.
