I just got my turbo compressor housing back from a local motorcycle place here in VA. I was surprised with everything they grinded & smoothed from the orginal, no more seams or letters. They even got rid of that huge kob at the smallest part of the scroll (I am guessing left from the casting process). Now time to coat it and put it on the car.

Yeah, i should have said coat it using the Zoop stuff. I apply it only on the polished sections, shouldn't effect the impeller clearance.

For zoop seal I think they recommend not putting it on exhaust components because it gets too hot. Radiators are fine though. How much did they charge?
Chris, your polished compressor housing looks like a million bucks.....do you have any more pics of your project ?
This was a few months back when I was getting all the fittiment taken care of. The charge pipes have been done and a few things added since then. I will take a boat load of photos when the project is done and its a little more photo worthy.

I could see that, all my exhaust stuff is ceramic coated. Since the rotor housings are polished I coated them, not on the hot side of the motor though, thats all covered up with the LIM & Exhaust manifold. Since there is coolant flowing through the housings I assume it could take the heat.
He charged me like $250, Since all the grinding work & this being the first part they have done for me I was a little more flexible. Also since I didn't have to pay for shipping both ways, that saved me like $25.

It definetly looks nice but I have to tell ya - $250.00 seems like a ton of money for polishing just that part. I got my UIM done by a forum member for $100.00 and it is *bling*
