Im not sure how the law works in Oregon...but I got in an accident 6 or so years ago where I ran a redlight and a lady hit me. I was at fault, but when the cop arrived and took our insurance, she didnt have any. That automatically put fault on her. She got a no insurance ticket, and I got a running red light ticket. Dont know what to tell ya....

Man that sucks but I think you might get screwed for not having any insurance. At least you'll have to file a SR22 and they will probably impound you car

There is a pearl white one for sale locally with a clean body for 6k it has a blown motor there is also a CYM that was flood damaged for 4-5k. That is if either are still for sale.

I say cut your losses, part this one out and start building that V8 of yours.

Sorry to hear about your loss. These cars become family after a while...

If you have a center iron that is in good condition I am interested

if i get fucked on this eveyone is welcome to purchase parts from me, i got a couple people lined up already for the power fc and hks turbo timer, and a few people that were interested in the motor and trans when i pulled them to do the v8 swap, but if they already found what they needed, then everything except the power fc and turbo timer are game

I know in Washington if you don't have insurance and get into an accident fault is not automatically put on you. If the other driver is blatantly at fault they are responsible. You may get cited for no insurance but if an officer didn't write a report or show up then I wouldn't worry about it. Was the RX7 your only car? If you have other cars were they insured? If so, that coverage could cover any car you drive. I will do some digging around on Oregon laws and see if I can find anything out. I'm a paralegal and legal research is right up my alley. Just don't sign anything!!

the cops did show up, i was cited for no insurance but will get that droped, ill just go pay for a month of insurance on it, and show up to court with the insurance card and the judge will drop it the officer said, the guy admited that he pulled out in front of me, im in the process of getting the cops to write that up in an official report, and im gona have the guy sign a paper saying he was indeed at fault, my insurance agent said as long as i have a police report, and that guy is at fault, that weather or not i have insurance shouldnt matter because hes still to blame, but yea any research on your part would be apreciated, i can use all the help i can get, this is my only car, other then my motorycle, my first accident were i wasnt at fault, my first accident i was just drivin to fast down the rong road, and that was easyer to take care of, this seems to be a pain in my ass, (and shoulder, man it aches like a bitch, lol) apreciate all the help and feedback guys, keep it comin

I dont know how it goes in your state but I just got a no insurance ticket dismissed because the card I had was expired. They scanned my card and said after they confirm the card is valid and I was insured at the time of the ticket it will be dropped. No more photoshopping your expired card to get out of it anymore!! Good luck!

Rolling chassis Fd's are rare. Good luck finding one. It is easy to say go buy a shell, but truth be told you are very lucky if you can find a good condition running FD not to mention one of the few FDs that dont have a motor and someone give you a steal of a deal on it. Good luck and hopefully everything works out for you.

yea, ill figure somthin out, found a streetport silver one in kansas for 14,000, ill see what i get back from insurance, i already know they are covering it, how much they pay out has yet to be determined, got a few people already interested in the motor and crap, ground zero included, i bought the car from a dealership up there that the same guy owns both ground zero and the car lot, and they said theyd pay me top doller for the motor if i bought the car back and parted it out, but a few people on this forum have already asked for it so well see how much they want for the buyback, if its cheap and i can make some money parting it out, even if its like 500 bucks ill do it, so keep your eye open for parts, lol

id prefere to get a manual that way even if i put a new motor and tranny in i dont need to find the clutch brake pedal assebly and mount that, the clutch master cylender and all that goodie crap of running lines, sadly enough i hate doin that more then engine swaps, lol looks like a good car tho, if i get a decent amount back i could buy that, build my motor and get a trans with the rest of the insurance money, and drop that in, i dont see why not, i mean i have this beutiful ls2 block just sitting in my garage now, lol might as well use it as planned, what color is that silver? kinda looks off white almost, ive been lookin, doesnt seem like to many wanna sell their 7's around here especially the fd's
