Boost prepping?

Ok guys, I have been wanting to turbo my 7 for a while. I know in order to do that I need to turbo prep my carb. What exactly is boost prepping? Like I know it has to do with helping your carb help handle the psi but I still do know what exactly you have to do. What parts are needed and what has to be done to the carb itself. I want to know so when I decide to go turbo I will kow what to get and what needs to be done. Any info at all even pictures of the parts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

You'll never findout exactly what needs to be done. People who do it don't wantto let the secret out. Good uck. You're going to have to send it out and pay for it to get done....

On my weber, I did the "boost prepping", and it works fine. I don't think there really is any huge secret out there. Seal up everything you possibly can, random screws and bolts that stick into the carb that don't need adjustment or frequent access with silicone sealant, those that are used for adjustment seal with fuel resistant teflon tape, or some other sealant that doesnt set hard, make sure you have floats that wont crush. Plastic floats don't, I think some brass one's do. I'm sure depending on your carb, it might help to enlarge the fuel inlet, I've heard of people doing that. Something I don't think Robert does (I could be wrong, dont know much about this) is sealing up the throttle shaft. It seems kind of hard to do, but I once saw a shop that had machince the area around the shaft, and fitted it with kind of a bushing to keep air from leaking out too much. It just seems to me that for the most part, if you dont have air or fuel spraying out of your carb, and there's an equal amount or air and fuel pressure in there (having a rrfpr), then I see no reason why it shouldnt work fine. And from personal experience, my car boosts quite well.
