does anybody make a spring for the fd that doesn't lower the car?
i swear i'm gonna be the only guy to ever buy a set of coilovers for the sole purpose of raising the car if i don't find some...
the rsr race or ti2000 springs say they only dro like .8" front and .6" rear.
is that about as close as i'm gonna get? the car came with eibach (black) springs on it, but i really don't like how low it is...it's afraid of speed bumps
thanks

hope is just another phase you'll grow out of.
Does it have Koni yellow shocks? Those shocks have 3 positions for the spring perches. You might be able to raise it up by adjusting the position of the spring perches on the shocks.
i guess the car itself isn't that low, but the body kit hangs down and the radiator sets lower than i'd like. so about stock ride height is good for me.
i guess i could sell the eibach/tokico combo and ease the financial pain of the coilovers...
The Tokicos generally make the car ride a bit lower than stock shocks or Konis from what I have seen. If you had contacted me a day ago, I would have had a perfect spring for you - the old PFS springs. They are already sold now. 3/4 of an inch drop max. IIRC, the HKS springs also have a minimal drop.
stock springs will also do the trick... DamonB uses stock springs
Racing Beat springs have a slight drop and only like 5% stiffer, which is basicaly not butt dyno noticable. HKS SF5 would have been good but I don't think they make them for the 3rd gen (anymore?). http://www.racingbeat.com/FRmazda3.htm

You can also just stick a rubber spacer in some aftermarket springs to get a little more height. It'll also increase the spring rate, which you may not want.
I have rsr race springs with koni yellows and new upper strut mounts. Not even close to rubbing with 235/40/17f and 265/40/17r. I also run drag radials that are over 26" tall without problems.
