Well after discussing some ideas with fellow club members in CT and MA. I thought about getting a caravan together to go to Rotorfest2006. Last year we went we had a good turnout for NY and NJ(Even though most NJ guys never showed up, a few did).

So this year our meets (NYC RR) are getting pretty big our last meet had 24+ rotary powered vehicles so now people know we have meets and we get good turnouts.

I was extending our meets to CT guys but its too far for most of them, but for Rotorfest they have to pass thru NY regardless so why not meet up with them.

The MA and RI guys got to get eachother together and work out your caravan. The CT guys are right in the middle so they can work with either state representatives.

So lets discuss this and work something out and meeting points along the way to link up.

We NY and NJ guys usally meet up quite early by the Holland Tunnel, so if time is going to be an issue we can work something out to get the MONSTROUS caravan ever seen together.

Our Rotorfest carvan had about 27 RX-7s, with 4 non rx7s.

So please MA , RI, CT, NY and NJ cats lets work something out.

EDIT: I am very good with directions, and i wont do this like last year, so let me get a heads up. DONT JUST RELY ON ME FOR DIRECTION, already have your directiosn printed out just in case you get lost or get seperated from teh caravan. If it wasnt for me and another guy last year , no one would know how to get to island dragway. SO just to be safe have your own directions from your home to rotorfest and from the meet up locations to rotorfest just in case.

EDIT 2: Im willing to help you CT , MA and RI guys directions from major highways to our meet up locations in Queens and then Manhattan, so please get all your peoples together and let me know which way your are coming and i will give you better diretions. I want the MA/RI/CT guys to meet up with me in QUEENS, this way you guys dont have to worry how to get around in the CITY (WHich is confusing at certain locations downtown).

This is a spot i picked right next to the holland tunnel. Its a very big street mostly used by COMMERCIAL vehicles. This way we dont have to worry about cops harrassing us just parked.



This is where we met up with the NJ guys at the mobile gas station (Dunken Donuts adjacent for your morning needs)

i'll be on the nj side. i dont think its smart for the ma/ri/ct people to go to queens though. just take the west side highway down and meet with the jersey people.

 

You cant drive on west side highway and meet NJ people, you gotta cross the holland tunnel first lol.

Im just saying they can meet us by the Holland tunnel or meet up with us NY guys.

why dont we all meet in new jersey if u ny guys take the GWB or lincoln tunnle jump on rt80west and we can meet you any where on that highway

 

and the directions to the dragway say all we have to do is take 80 west for like 50 miles and were right there its so much easier if we meet on the way

just get out of the lincoln tunnel and drive straight until you're on the other side of hoboken. that's exactly where we're meeting.

i'd take 23 to 3 to 495 and get off right before the lincoln tunnel and drive through hoboken

i am going. i am taking 84 to 5/15 to 91 back to 15 to hutchinson river parkway to 62 to 287 to 80 to 517 to 614 to 46. thats not final, and im sure ill change it 3 times before i leave that morning. ill try to set up a caravan for NH, RI, and MA. depending on where you guys are meeting in NY, i might just go straight to NJ. but like i said nothings set in stone yet. ill also make a thread for a New England Caravan.
