TX twistedrotors.com..... Florida/=Honduras

Beware of John and twistedrotors.com.

Back in july or august he posted on his forum that he would have the new version of the engine compression testers ready for shipping by sept 12. the date came and went and he posted about some setbacks and whatnot. this is all understood but to this date not a single tester has been shipped. all of the testers have been paid in full!!
it wasn't until i filed with payola and posted about legal action that i receive a USPS tracking number. however, this only states that USPS has received sipping info but no package yet has been picked up for delivery.

DO NOT DO ANY PAYMENTS WITH HIM!!

and to top it off now, his forum has magically disappeared from his site. if in 5 days i have not received what the tracking number says. I WILL be filing with courts here in el paso.
he is based out of houston, so 5 days ship time is more than enough.

Same story here, I paid for the tester on August 16th(prepaid) because he promise to begin shipment of the testers in the order that they were paid for, but September 12 came and until this day 12/6/11 I too receive a notification from USPS that they have recive shipping info for some package but this was after I filed with paypal two days ago making me really concerned about if I was gonna get someday the tester or the money back, almost three months have gone by since the first shipment was promised and until this date the only thing I have is this shipping info that I got today, NEVER PRE-PAID ANY TESTER TO HIM AND BUYERS BEWARE of this guy as he only proves to be a malicious and not sincere person to do business with, he had to wait for a paypal resolution to start sending shipping info right away and he also manage to get his forum out from his site which was the only method of communication we all had with him, thank god we did the transaction through paypal because they seem to be helping us I only hope that the shipping info received today is proof that we all are getting the testers that we paid for 4 months ago......

I also pre-paid for my tester as well. I was trying to be patient and wait in the wings for the unit to be assembled and delivered. What's bugging me at this point is that the forums folder has been restricted and the index.php file removed. So now there are no updates whatsoever and no way to contact John. Anyone have any luck at all contacting him?

i have sent numerous emails thru the website email and none have been responded. all i got was a tracking number and today it shows transit movement of the package. i dont know if this the actual tester, a refund or what. i will keep the thread updated with whatever arrives and do what i can to help others somehow recover their funds or receive their testers.

i would just say flood the email and i actually have papers ready to file with the small claims court here and if whatever arrives isnt as promised then off i go to court!!

post any updates you may have or info as well!

Actually it looks like I received a tracking number to my email. The packaged left yesterday. Unfortunately our office moved locations 2 weeks ago and the package is bound for the old office. I really hope that I can still pick it up there somehow. Back when I paid for the tester I didn't foresee an office move. :P

Well I found out two encouraging things. One I got an email back from John advising that the unit was indeed shipped, and two that our mail is being forwarded to our new office. While the entire process took longer than expected I felt like to a certain extent that I knew what I was signing up for. John has been cordial in all correspondence to me and I have a little more sympathy for one guy working on a project on his spare time vs a full blown manufacturing company. But that's just my 2 cents. That said I'm stoked for the delivery.

well that's great for you but for me everything is still the same, I'm filing up with paypal once again because it's been almost three days since I received the notice from USPS but still now it hasn't progressed from being an electronically shipping info received....meaning that there is no package in transit to me so I guess that this guy is just buying time with me, I'll file with paypal right away and keep you all posted if I'm lucky and get any progress with this issue..........WELL just in time to edit my post, just tried to filed again on paypal regarding this case and it is impossible to double filed on the same case, send them an e-mail explaining the situation so I hope this works for me......I really think that this guy is hand-picking or randomly picking the lucky ones who are going to get there tester and with the other ones which I'm beginning to believe it's my case are just gonna be left without the tester or the money.....PLEASE don't let this guy fool you too DON'T ever pay this malicious person any money for his products or services......

Paypal said that when a dispute is closed then it can't be opened again because paypal considers a closed dispute as a resolved issue, the thing here is that I didn't close the dispute it was paypal that did this just because John Doss aka twistedrotors sent an electronic shipment notification through USPS, in my opinion this guy knows exactly how paypal works and its resolution mechanism and he did this just to fool paypal about the dispute and left me stranded without my money nor my product.........

Well, quite honestly, I am embarrassed that I allowed this to happen. I know that I have a serious problem with communicating information in a timely manner and I really do apologize for that. I do build these testers by hand in my "spare time" while going to school full time and also job searching but that isn't an excuse. I sincerely apologize for putting the pre-order customers in this position. Their patience has been extensive and I do not blame any of them for being upset. I would feel the same way if I were in your position and I am sorry that I did it to you.

Now, moving on to the good. Every pre-ordered compression tester has shipped! I am very excited about this and I can not wait for people to start receiving their testers! I am aware that when tracking the international shipments (that were shipped using postage paid online) that they still show up as "The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper......" and I'm not sure why. All of the U.S. shipments are tracking and are well on their way to their destinations. I know this is getting into the busy season for the USPS but I feel it should have updated by now. I am going to keep an eye on this.

This pre-order was truly an eye opening experience for me. I sold so many more of the v2.0's than the v1.0's that I was completely overwhelmed. I've learned a lot from this but the future availability for these testers is unclear right now. I'm taking a step back and reevaluating. I refuse to have a repeat of what happened with this situation.

Again, I sincerely apologize and greatly appreciate everyones patience.

-John

I suggest building the units and collecting payment once completed and ready to ship.

The international shipping is a little scary with USPS, I also shipped out a priority package 2 weeks ago and has not showed up in the system.

Juan,
The address you have listed in PayPal lists your country as Honduras. You payed the international shipping rate when you bought the tester. I ship to the address as it is shown in PayPal. I have emailed you a screen shot of what I see in PayPal.

Just got back from the post office. The reason that the international shipments are not tracking is because apparently when you pay for postage online and drop the boxes off they are NOT scanned until they reach their point of departure from the U.S. The manager told me that this is either New York or sometimes Chicago.
In the future I will just wait in line and make them scan the packages in at the front desk instead of just dropping them off.

It is because you posted someone else’s personal info and we don't like to see that posted publically. Please keep personal info to PMs, email, etc.

Thanks.

yes indeed my country of origin is Honduras but it clearly shows on paypal that my shipping address is the one I stated a few posts before, I have purchased items using paypal since 2009 and all of my items are delivered to my shipping address in Florida because that is the adress I have registered with paypal for my items purchased through paypal to be ship, I really don't know how to trust you saying that you have ship my tester since you are the only person in the US that I have purchased an item from that says that my shipping address is in Honduras, you have to help me in some other way or refund my money that is the only way your word will get some credit with me.

I need proof that my tester is on transit to me..imagine the frustration of waiting for a prepaid tester for 4 complete months this 16th? and we are only a few complaining here at RX-7 club what about the guys that don't know about 7club or that are not members they have no way of communicating with him, the only way of communication we had was his own forum and he took it away from his site and those guys don't have any means for their frustration words to be heard..I need PROOF John not words.....

Yes, your street address is the same as what you posted except that on PayPal your "ship to" country is Honduras and that is part of your address. You payed the international shipping rate to ship to Honduras. I just got off the phone with PayPal and if I ship to any address other than what is sent to me by PayPal then I am not covered.

Juan, you have had a tracking number since Tuesday and I physically dropped your package off at the post office at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday morning. I have already explained why your tracking number is not updating online. What more do you want? I understand that you are frustrated about the amount of time it took for me to complete the testers. Believe me, I am frustrated too and I apologize again for that. But your shipment is a separate issue.

He has given a tracking number... Correct?

What other proof can he provide untill it arrives at your door?

When it arrives are you going to retract all your statements???
