I've had two Atkins engines. First was my N/A, and now my stage 2 streetport in my TII. Both of them have been great engines for me. They both still run strong and heathy. That's my $.02 Next will be a half bridge for the TII, haven't decided who's doing that one yet......

The FC engine's are few and far between in reman form. Last I saw one in canada advertised from a dealer at reduced cost was still $4900CDN. FD reman's are still around, but they too are in the 5K+ range if you get a good price on one. Glassman from NRS ceramics has one for sale below cost which IIRC was still $6000.

Great price for what you get (*ALL* new parts) but still very cost inhibitive vs. the old days when they flowed like water LOL

I agree 100%.

A lot of people can put the engine together correctly. But FEw are willing to buy ALL the parts those people recommend.

What is the concensus on Atkins Apex Seals. Since they are less expensive, i'd like to go that route. Any drawbacks?

I installed an Atkins re built engine ( lowest priced ) at the end of 2004 in my daily beater. It is still running. ATK engines at the time had free shipping, took discover, and discounted price on the Atkins rebuild.

Dave Atkins was helpful.
