Alright guys. I spoke with numerous individuals and it seems the spoiler is fine the way it is. Especially for guys who are more into the stock look, the conservative look is more appealing.

I will have it made the way it is. The more aggressive spoiler will be a project months from now .

I guess I can live with doublesided tape but I sure would prefer something a little more secure if possible.

Well then, care to elaborate on what you had in mind for the more "extreme" version? Was it a higher/more agressive incline, or longer off the tail, or what? I'd love to see a mockup of it, even if it's just a drawing

Also, could you take a picture of the spoiler from above the rear hatch looking down? Like if someone were standing on an elevated level looking at the car from the top?

Thanks Ken,
Charlie

I wanted something closer to this.

The mounting will not change. 3m double-sided tape is actually very strong. If you got two square wooden boards and stuck them together with 3 long strips of double-sided tape evenly distributed, you would not be able to pry it open again with your bare hands . That's how strong it is.

LOL. That's not good. What if we decide to take off the spoiler? Do we have to buy new taillights?

There's really no other solution. If you make it all the way to the trunk, you would have to drill holes in the trunk. I wouldnt want to do that.

It would be difficult to take off with your hands, but with a flathead screwdriver and some force, it will come off .

I can be the guinea pig for this spoiler, not a problem

lol, what if you just have to remove the taillights?

Don't get me wrong, I love the way this looks and I was planning something similar... but I just can't permanently tape something to my car like that.

I can! sell it to me! I'll remove the tape with force if I have too and apply more later no big deal.

I guess this spoiler is some who are willing to deal with it. I would not classify it as "permanent" because it is definitely removeable.
