Professional/reputable shop for rebuild
Hello, I'm looking for a great shop to rebuild my s4 t2 motor. I am looking for a shop that can handle a high HP build motor. Thanks

i do rebuilds about an hour south of you, been doing it solo for the last 13 years. i also do everything on the cars aside from body work, including tuning.
since it's a small shop, the prices are a bit cheaper as well. but if you want a nice clean white floor waiting room/shop you might want to try one of the others.
you can drop me a PM if interested.

No idea. But his interest wasn't the best to do the work. $$ wasn't the issue.i gave him 10k budget to blow.i don't know man.
I don't understand people's minds this days.same happened with my rx8 in another reputable shop. At the end went to the very simple guy and boom all done. Rx8 is running again after 8 months in a shop and the Fd 20 is coming along too.

because the one off jobs are the most time consuming and least profitable.
plus after looking at the same car for a month straight you just get nauseus about going into work at that point.
those would be my guesses anyways

who knows, i never touched the car so i don't know what all was involved.
timing is also a factor, he mighta already had cars behind schedule when yours rolled in, it happens.
but the last and most important thing is, never pay up front, at least no more than full parts cost plus 20% of the labor. the shop/worker loses all incentive to complete the job at that point.
