Yes it does look like the Silver One may be moving on to her next life with her 4th owner in 28 years. There's been lots of interest, a few folks have come out to Jefferson and taken her for a spin and the bids look pretty serious, so I may have to give up my fantasy of her not selling.

After driving her home from the last OGTA meeting I did change my mind, but Cathy took away the keys and won't let me drive her anymore. So I tore into the White One Two this weekend to ease my anxiety and it seems to be working.

You're not planning to sell the Waffle Wankeler are you?

I really don't know if any of you would be interested but I'm trying to sell my bike.
If you want to help a fellow rotor head out, pass the word. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/nat/mcy/3078640943.html

Ray, please tell that you took those 2G strut tower covers off for the White One Two before you sold the Silver One. You're going to want those...

Are you kidding Mike?

I've been trying to find a polite way to get rid of those tacky black rubber 2nd gen strut covers since you guys sneaked them into the Silver One two years ago.

The White One Two shall remain pure as the new fallen snow.

The Silver One's new owner is from Atlanta, real nice guy, used to have a 1st gen twenty years ago and always wanted another.

Funny how these cars affect you that way.

She's a pretty good car Crit. And she has a Nikki.

I was just out getting her ready for the new owner, who hasn't seen it yet. I think he'll be pleased.

Here's one last round of photos of the Silver One, taken today, ready to go:

I've got another set somewhere that might try to sneak themselves on the white one

Congrats on the sale. Maybe the new owner will make it out to one of the meets some day

I'll take those tacky rubber 2nd gen strut covers Brett. They'll look good with the new Panasports I've decided to put on the White One Two.

Here's the look I'm looking for:

Well Tim, I just picked up the SA I have been telling you about For some time now.
I will post up some pics up later. It is an 1980 one owner, WITH only 5,823 miles on it.
Its silver with blue pinstrips and is an auto. There's a big story behind this car too, I'll
get to that later. But the car was on (UnSolved Mysteries)

Wow, that's pretty creepy. A mint SA with only 5,823 miles and a ghost in it.

I might even keep the automatic transmission for that.

Got pics?

Last call on this GS rear end, it looks to be in great shape, all the brake parts, including two good drums, are in the box.

Wow Ray, that Silver one you are selling is Superb. Perfect amount of restoration/upgrades
to still keep it "stock".

I think I would have bought it off you if you were closer.

Thanks DF, the Silver One really is a fine running car, especially if you are looking for a "beater" for the daily commute. The new owner is picking it up today, I hope he likes it half as much as I do.

In the mean time, I'm putting the White One Two together, with slightly more radical plans. The X-wheels will probably be replaced with some 15 x 7 rewinds, panasports or similar, there will be an upgraded suspension and brakes and maybe some additional action under the hood (but I'm trying desperately to find a way to keep the mazda blue air filter, I have a mint one to go into this project and they look too darn cool).

And I like making these things so much that if I can find another promising project in the mean time (an SE maybe) the White One Two may be up for sale later this year or early next!

Also, thanks for the edit.

Ray

As usual, the wifey looks thrilled about buying a used sports car.

Good sale Ray. Now start a build thread for the white one II.

Tomorrow I start my mini-restoration if you wanna call it that. Driveshaft is going off to the driveshaft shop to be rebuilt, transmission is getting swapped, bumper is coming off, bumper supports bent back out, fender coming off, new headlight ***'y going in. Then stripping the paint.

Who has a LF fender? (88 GXL that is)

Actually Tim, Wifey is the one who made out the check, so don't underestimate her influence.

They are great folks, I hope to see them at some OGTA's down the road.

And yes, as soon as I get some of this debris that's scattered around my yard auctioned off, I will reactivate the White One Two thread.

Question: How do Konig Rewinds look on an SA?

Zach, that's good news! That old white FC of yours has more soul than any other FC I ever met. Post up some pics if you've got them.
