rx7 series 2 gearbox issues
Hi ppls i have a series2 rx7 with series 5 13bt with, what i believe is a series 3 or series 4-5 n/a 13b gearbox.. the problem is when the gearbox gets hot its gets very hard to get gears.. Runs fine on freeways but as soon as you get into traffic after about 20 mins of stopping and going the problem starts..Im putting series 4/5 turbo gearbox in soon so i dont want to spend to much money on it.Just looking for a temperary solution to get me by until i do the change over..Any help would be appreciated cheers

Hey, I'm sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I haven't been logging on as often as I should...
You might want to try some different gear oil, the trans may have a problem. You may also check out the hydraulic system to make sure it's not losing pressure.
Good luck to you.

Classic hydraulic cylinder symptoms. We generally see them fail when the seasons and temperatures change. Sounds like a master cylinder to me.
Good luck, keep me posted.
