Yep, just got back from 1/8th mile testing. Ran 6.99 @94mph first pass off the trailer. I guess all those practice shifting in the garage paid off.
Here's the breakdown
60'-1.433
330-4.412
1/8-6.99
mph-93.93
I made two other passes. The second I spun bad in first and ran a 7.2 with the same mph. The last pass I staged and then broke the beams. That would have been a 6.8pass because the car was flying and my mph was 94.06. Still getting used to the transmission but I think I did pretty good for my first session. I did not think that the trans. would drop the times that much in the 1/8th so I am very very happy. Gotta practice my burnouts. I started in 2nd gear and everytime I try to shift into third during the burnout the trans. would kick me out. The last burnout I just left it in second. Here's the video.

Don't let go of the gas in the burnout..
Keep you foot to the floor and the trans will not kick you out..
It will only kick out when you lift otherwise it will stay in gear and shift like butter...
How do you like it? Once you get used to that trans you will never want anything else.
Congrats BTW..

This cat talks the talk and walks the walk.....proud of you jay .....
I've never known a man worth his salt who in the long run, deep down in his heart, didn't appreciate the grind, the discipline... I firmly believe that any man's finest hour-this greatest fulfillment to all he holds dear--is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle -- victorious.
