Pan ams 2016

Well I went ahead this year and made the 15hr drive with my car to New Jersey. Have to say I will never miss it again. If you are into rotary drag racing you are crazy not to go to this event!
Meet up with some of the OG's off this forum. Tuned my car and all was going well. Long story but 54psi by accident didn't end well. Motor is going back together next weekend. Had a great time with the best friends around!

Dude I sort of missed meeting you. I saw you, but you were working on your car under that hot sun, and figured that you didn't need any distractions. I saw your trailer/car at the hotel on Sunday morning, and figured that it wasn't the turbo seals that were acting funny

Yeah it took a big hit on the dyno. 54psi gates never opened. Dented the rotor in 2 places and cracked it , hence the oil issue. Hit was so hard it bent the stud in that area. Also blew the semi cover off manifold, studs out the throttle body and charge pipe off, clamps went thru the roof of shop! Rest of motor looks good so far so just waiting on rotor to get machined then back together.

Here's a rotor that detonated at 55psi on M1. The apex slots had to be filed back open after getting pinched pretty good by the dents. Surprisingly, that rotor went back into anengine and made low 7 second passes like that lol.
