sk.. what is the height on your front fenders, both sides with load?(measuring from ground to the fender lip over the front wheel? Also, have you check if your tires are spinning on the rim?

ok, Im no expert, but Ive pulled a few front ends off the ground in my years od drag racing, and it seems that your front end looks a tad low. Now with some cars this isnt much of a problem, but that is if, you have a good amount of torque to move the weight.. you see where Im going with this issue.
Now, at launch is where your tires will spin on the rim. Even though its swimming, doest mean that it isnt moving on the rim.. a tiring moving an inch on the rim during launch can hurt your 60 period. You can check this by marking the tire where the air valve is with a white marker.. Do a burnout and launch it and see if it happens.
I believe there are more things you can do before you start switching stuff out. there are a few people out there making good 60's with the 26x16's.
Also, what springs weights do you have on your coilovers and what dampering settings are you using?

good idea Chris.. One other think I though about was that, being the 15@ tire has more wall, it is flexing more, and cause a bit of unloading at launch.. stiffing the rear a tad might help this...
Wished someone made a simple drag setup that works 90% of the time for the fd, like how the mustangs do it... 90/10 50/50 and some trick springs and your cutting 1.4's all day long.. no rocket science degree needed. lol

i would like to see a high res. slow motion video of the launch to see if the tire is spinnig on the rim.
My agruement would be the smooth machined finish of the 15in weld rim VS the rough cast aluminum stock 16in wheel.
^^^ that is your set up right? weld RTS in the 15, and stock 16?

One thing I did notice was my launch rpm's have been on the average much lower. All my logs show 6-7k rpm launches from my last weekend (with 2step and free revs) , guess leaving my hood up little fingers in the garage like to trun dials... Usually use 8-9k rpms were I have yielded the best 60's. I really see it hard to imagine it hooking better with more rpms and power but this weekend is looking to be some great cool weather. Will post up my results with what combo I use and its results. I will be running both sets of tires starting on 12-14psi depending on track conditions.
