You can buy the parts needed to build the short block from Kiwi-RE out of New Zeland. You'll still nees to solve all the sproblems with fitting it in the car, making manifolds and so on. I don't think you can get the 26B from Mazda, and even if you could it'd probably be prohibitavely expensive.

If you're serious about wanting a 26B and have a huge checkbook give Downing Atlanta a ring. They're the last people to actively campaign the 4-rotors.

Actually as of not too long ago, Dennis Spencer of Buford GA. currently owns most of the Multi-Rotor cars & 4 Rotor engines built and owned by Downing throughout his racing carrer.
Thought I don't believe he is willing to part with any of the true Mazda engines, he does have in stock all of the special parts made in NZ. nessesary for a 4 Rotor build up using 13b parts,
While visiting his facility last year, I can personaly account for one of these New Zealand style 4 rotor engines built and seating in his Dyno room.
In my opinion, the craftmanship is outstanding.

Kiwis and the japanese in my opinion are the last 2 true hardcore supporters of the rotary. Though it makes sense seeing as hwo all the japanese peopel are invading Kiwi land on a daily basis, not to mention its almost identical, so it would only make sense. Plus it sjsut south of Japan. That and the Kiwis are just power crazy nuts.

I knew Jim has sold the one Kudzu but didn't realize they were getting out of the game. Who would like to be adopted by Dennis Spencer? Talked with those guys quite a bit at the Mitty this year. Was told they're sitting on about 30 20B cores!

Having worked for Jim Downing for years, I am sure that he could find one in his shop for the right price...

life has many shame, what we refer to as electronic fuel injection , was developed and patented in USA by BENDIX, must have been a good idea, because Robert Bosch/VW bought the license rights to it. and of course developed it to todays systems. another unknown trivia fiberglass, FRP,etc. 1st appeared on the tail sections of WWll, of JAPANESE ZERO aircraft.
