FORD KA RALLY KIT CAR - 2001
ENGINE
1.3-litre Endura-E, eight-valve four-cylinder engine with multi-point fuel injection.
Optimised cylinder head porting; compression ratio11:1. Revised camshaft. New four-branch
exhaust manifold.
POWER
93bhp at 5700rpm.
TRANSMISSION
IB5 five-speed gearbox with Puma close-ratio gears. Limited slip differential. Optional
uprated clutch disc, standard hydraulic actuation.
SUSPENSION
Proflex dampers front and rear, adjustable for bump and rebound settings. 62mm diameter
springs with adjustable platforms. Modified front suspension lower arms with spherical
bearings. Nylon bushes fitted to rear beam.
BRAKES
Front: Ventilated discs and calipers with Mintex pads.
Rear: Standard brake drums.
Brake pressure adjusting valve fitted in rear circuit. Stainless steel braided brake pipes.
STEERING
Standard power steering; 2.9 turns lock-to-lock. OMP steering wheel.
