Got and installed the racing beat road race exhaust. Wow what a difference. I can't imagine we will have any problem at all with sound. Plus we needed to add weight and the exhaust is the lowest possible location on the car so....two birds, one stone and all that...

we had the pleasure of running against him all weekend, and his exhaust choice was a good one. he made sound, with a ton of room to spare, he could get bumped without any damage, and power seemed like it wasn't effected much.

so win win win!

TTE ended up being a Mazda Podium sweep BTW.

Weekend went quite well. Ben, saved it with an awesome drive on sunday after i screwed up the handling with a change that didnt play out as expected. It added a full sec to his lap times and he was defending for most of the race.

Whether it was the ambient conditions and altitude or the exhaust itself or a little of both the car Dynoed peak at 182 HP at the track this weekend. (which made us pile nearly 100lbs of additional ballast on vs our normal weight) Which is 8 HP higher than it was at Road Atlanta with my old fully dual exhaust. So with the nice quiet racing beat exhaust we actually gained power. Probably at least 2-3 HP vs my home made dual exhaust. I'm going to take the presilencer off for straight pipes because it hangs down so far we ground a good bit of it away. I think the real money in the racing beat exhaust is in their power pulse mufflers. They are AWESOME units.

The dyno thing is really hard to deal with.

My car has dynoed basically between 170 and 172 for five years on any dynojet in the midwest. We went to Road Atlanta and it was close but higher at 174. Then at laguna seca we hit 182, which i'm not even sure is possible with stock EFI and ports...

You guys did a great. Congrats again!
I just couldn't get it together. In the race the car was the best it had been. But I got stuck behind the PTD guys. Then once I got past. I took the scenic route through turn 6. The had to get past again. That a weird fuel problem that cured it's self, and my 1/4 turn of play in the steering box.
Once you guys settled in. I lost sight of all of you.
Then one of the motor mount bolts came lose. So the engine and trans was twisting when going on or off the throttle. But I was still starting to gain a little on Tommy in the Miata. I don't know if I could have made up the 10sec lead he had. Or if my car would have made it for another 10min. So I'm glad they called it early.

we had a wheel loosen up, and one of the other wheels lost a stud. i could actually hear the wheel noise over the radio, and watching the incar i think i can hear something really early on.

really good race though!

Funny making the connection from peoples web names to real faces.
