I've got a s4 t2 I have been building and I eventually want to take it to the track when I have everything running right, and I am in the market for a seat rail and steering wheel combo.

I am 5' 10" with average arm and leg length with a beer belly. I bought my buddies BRIDE low max I fit pretty snug in. I haven't mounted the seat yet, but I am in the market to purchase a seat and steering wheel.

I'm not a pro at shopping for seats and steering wheels. My friend suggest the BRIDE FG seat rails. Anyone else with recommendations?

So I don't break my bank I was looking into the NRG steering wheel hub, probably detachable so I can get in and out with my belly. Anyone know which series I need to buy, there were so many ones.

Lastly, I'm 5'9". So with a detachable steering wheel hub, should I get a flat steering wheel, one that pops out a bit, or a lot?

I was sitting in my factory seat, and I felt a little far from my steering wheel for the pedal distance that seemed decent, but I don't know if adding a detachable hub and having a steering wheel that popped out would be too close.

First, show up at a race and ask to sit in various seats. Choose the one that fits best. For the rules, you must run the rails mfg for the seat. You want to mount the seat flat on the floor so remove any offending sheet metal before you start. Grant makes reasonably priced GT series wheels .. 13.5" seems to work well without power steering. If the seat is in the correct position, you don't need a quick disconnect but you want a deep dish wheel and probably a spacer because you want to lean the seat back and your arms will be too short. More than anything, you want to get the door bar away from your head. Hope this helps.

Thanks, I wish I knew more people closer by that have a FC. I won't be racing but possible track days. The reason I posted here instead of the standard 2nd gen section is I didn't want people replying that cared only about aesthetics, and/or people that have bucket seats and steering wheels but don't actually drive at the track. I get to work on a lot of bmws at work, and I see how the right steering wheel, seat, and shifter combo can give you more confidence and security while driving spiritedly
