Problems with my Power FC "I think"

Allright, I need a little information becuase I am completly lost. I bought a Power FC about a month ago and installed it perfectly. The car was running perfect and was running really nice till last week till last week when I took out my altenator to change the pullies to the greddy pullies. I was unscrewing the screw to the power to the alt when my wrench hit the uim and sparked "could be the problem". So i then precceded to disconnect my battery to finish the installation. When I got my car back together and running it was running a little wierd but i kept on driving. Later that night I was riding in my car when I desided to gun it, when i got off the gas the rpm's didn't drop, the rpms stayed at 7-8k. I gave a couple pumps of the gas pedal and the rpms droped. After they droped they engine would rev up to 4k and back down, over and over again, didn't stop. I pulled my car over then waitted a while. When i got back into the car the car started with no jumping idle so i drove home. I then thought if by disconecting the battery lost the idle learn process. So i discoennected the battery again and waitted the half hour for it to finish. That was yesterday. Today I went to work and when I was a block away from my house I tried it again just in case it was still F()* Up. It it was. The same thing happened with the rpm's and the brakes got really stiff and couldn't press it. Is this problem the ecu or is it something with changing the alt that i messed up like a hose or something or the car. Please let me know becuase I am puzzled by this event, and fustrated as hell. Thanks.

well..you were working kinda around the area of the throttle cable...

when your romp on it does the pedal stay to floor when you lift off????
i would check for any hang ups in that area....
