Do the PFC's for the FD differ between the series??

Another words, is the S6 PFC the same as a S7 and S8, or does each series have a specific PFC to suit each Series?

They are different. For one thing, Mazda completely changed the wiring harness for 96+ (S7/S8) cars from the 92-95 (S6) cars.

Are the internals different? I mean, do the Power FC's designed for the 96+ RX-7's differ in the mapping and control capabilities, or are they the same hardware, with minimal adaptations for compatibility with the different wiring harnesses?
