i dont think you can all the glc rear axel stuff is really small , I cut all the brackets off my rx2 rear end and all the brackets off the glc rear end . Then I put the glc brackets on the rx2 rear end . It worked great and the rx2 rear end is only 3/4 of an inch shorter end to end . Use the rx2 axels with a small axel lsd and done deal . The swap only took me about 6 hours ,it was pretty easy .I also did a re speed disc conversion ,that was also easy .

No problem, one question : why an 8.8 rear end, I personally would use a ford 8 in or 9in . I'm using a 8 in rear end in my rx2 . My reason is 8.8 in rear ends are c clip rear ends and if you want to change gear ratios you have to do it in the car .8in rear ends use the early 28 spline axels (same as the early 9in) and are very durable . The 8 in is easy to find at a junk yard and are not that expensive . Parts are still available as well . Good luck
