1987 Toyota Corolla 13b peripheral port swap
so im putting this:
into this:
as im sure you guys can see, the engine has the fb front cover so i can run the front "cross bracket" style engine mount. the only issue i seem to have is figuring out how im going to run the ignition. im doing the full 12a ignition system, but how do i wire the coils? im drawing a blank on what the wiring for the coils even looks like, does anyone have a picture of a first gen ignition set up?
as far as fuel goes, im running a proform 750cfm DP. so i have fuel and mounting pretty much bagged, its just the ignition thats making me draw a blank.
thanks.

The third prong on the ingintor is just a retainer clip for the stock plastic wire connector. You can either find a couple of these or just use individual spade connectors which will not require the use of the clips. Also you can run the motor on just the Lead ignitor. There are a lot of different options. If you search on ignition you will find some cool option where people use GM and aftermarket systems. I went with the stock type system and use both the lead and trailing ingitors.

so a few things to update:
Mark at Gofastracing.net did the fab work on the intake, fuel cell, and is making the engine and trans mounts now. more to come soon.

I love the fact that when a member on here asks a question, ppl actually give a positive response rather the the generic "use the SEARCH button". Yes, the topic may have been covered before or beaten to death, but just that "little point-in-the-right-direction" goes a long way!

it is a solid steal bar with large 'L' brackets at the end, completely welded with large 'v' brackets by the ends for strength. i can get more picks of just the bar if you'd like.

another question: as it turns out, i have a 5 letter 13b front cover on the p port and i bought a distributor for a 12a. if im only using the magnetic pickups on the distributor and not running the trailing plugs, will i be able to use the 12a dizzy? it bolts up and meshes up just fine, turns fine too.
