Anyone know where to get a turbo balanced locally? Seattle area. Hopefully for under $100.

Alamo turbo in Kent.

Edit: I didn't see "Seattle area" when I first read the post.

Turbo technology sends their stuff up to Alamo to get balanced. It's best to just go straight there. However, if you are looking for flanges and spare bends for projects TT has all that stuff!

I think that I'm going to send it off to BNR for a rebuild and balance.

I had this guy rebuild my 60-1. He seemed very knowledgeable and professional.

I'm not a turbo expert, but IMO, there's really no point in balancing them unless they are brand spanking new wheels that haven't been balanced or they have been clipped. Just for a rebuild, put it back together and go.

I was going to have mine balanced at Turbocharger systems in Scappose, until I realized they only balance the wheels, which are most often balanced from the factory.

It needs a balance. After reassembly of the turbo I installed it on the car and started it up. It sounded like two rocks in a pop can.
