Do we actually do anything anymore?

I have been watching for months, and unless I missed it, I have seen hardly any events. There was rumors of a Leavensworth meet. But I never saw posted dates or times. So we are now in June. So is there a calendar of events. I think that Oregon's RPNW has a calendar on their web page, but Watkins Glen is not happening for me. I have been out of the loop for a while, but the only thing I read about is SevenStock and Deals Gap. Do we have any regional clubs in Washington or North Idaho? RROW and INWR are dead from what I can tell. Have meets fallen out of favor?

Funny thing is my 7 has no engine or transmission and is undergoing a restoration. But I would still like to go to some meets.

I may have to get things going myself.

there is still a monthly rx7club meet at izzys buffet in Olympia wa, 7 pm every second Monday of the month, has been going on for 10 years now, but no one posts it anymore, people just "know to go"

it does seem like the new thing is facebook car groups. theres a few different ones,

mazda militia( a lot of speed 3s and 6s, seem to be a fair number of rx8 owners there as well, a few random rotarys)
has a weekly meet in montlake terrace at a park and ride

id agree its not like it used to be on the meets with the rx7 club.

Ive had ideas for years, and I would like to see a successor in the spirit of the rotor rally return. I may just be foolish enough to look into our options. This of course could not happen this year. To much planning and the past festival was a great start of the season kick off.

So yeah, Im going to be pushing for a major NW meet. If the time is right for it.

in the meantime theres a meet in Salem Oregon :

Need to check my work calendar. Im not familiar with this event.

I miss apple blossom as well, before the fun police ruined it.

Who would be down for a Mt St Helen's drive this summer? 60 miles of twisties up, and 60 miles of twisties down.

My 7 has no engine, so I'm at a disadvantage for a drive. Anyone else up for a St Helens drive?

I remember tripping over 12a's and old 6port 13b's. its easier to find a REW now. the rotary engine market has gone nuts. Hell, I found more 20b's for sale than 12a's. and thats just wrong.

I was just thinking this. I'm literally cruising around downtown Kirkland, Bellevue, Seattle, etc today just to get the 7 out.

Anyone doing anything tonight?

The Rotary Power Northwest group meets once a month in Tigard, OR and we plan cruises throughout the year. We just went on our annual Newport drive
