Im sorry, im new to rotary motors and have stumbled a little bit. I cant seem to figure out what this is. Please help and if its a stupid question im sorry.
Lol well now I just feel stupid, that was an easy one. You have no idea how many "car guys" I've asked that didn't know. Thank you, now I can put fluid in it.
Some people hear "rotary" and immediately assume everything under the hood will be different. But unless you're opening up the engine, there is very little different from what you'd find on a piston engine of the same era. Peripherals are going to all be what you'd expect to find. The biggest exception is going to be the metering oil system.
What was throwing me off was that the engine is rebuilt and someone told me that the Japanese cars had a separate oil reservoir. Thought maybe someone had rebuilt it that way, but it's a junky car and I can't see that effort being put into it
Lol I am referring to that thing in the middle. After I posted the pic and really looked at the fluid on a clean rag I saw that it was the power steering
