This is a confusing question.
The LEADING coil is what I will call a "ganged Coil",meaning that they both fire at the same time.
The TRAILING coil is 2 separate coils that fire just a little off from each other.The ignitor has a toggle that allows the coil to do this.
Now you can replace a coil on the Trailing coil with another Trailing coil part.
You cannot however try to use ONE coil on that Trailing coil assembly to fire both Trailing spark plugs.
Just a bit of "useless info" is that you can use the leading and trailing coils on an FC to run either a N/A or TII based car as they are the same parts.So you can swap a Leading coil out on an N/A and use it on a TII..and so on.
