Problems starting a FD

Hi Guys,

I have a 95 RX-7 that had been stopped for almost a year because a smart driver ran into my garage and a piece of the pillar went straight to the windscreen.
As i as based in Southern Africa (Mozambique) i struggled to find a new windscreen, and only recently managed to get one.
Drove the car to the repair shop where they fitted the windscreen and fixed some minor paint scratched. On the very same day i collected the car, took it for a cruise and as running perfectly until eventually i noticed that the temp gauge was a bit above the normal. Stopped on the next gas station, added water and went home.
On the following weekend i started the car and it ran smoothly for +- 5 minutes, until it started misfiring and eventually cut off. Tried starting again and it just cranked but no signs of life.
I have checked and fuel pump is ok, tried to deflood it, removed the plugs, cranked it without plugs, towed the car and nothing happened.
Left the car for about 6 months ( my initial thought was that the engine had packed up, and was starting to put some coins together for a 1JZ swap), until today. Knowing that i was loosing my time, i decided to start the car and Voila! engine started at first crank. i didnt accelerate it as i was waiting for it to warm up and again after 3+- minutes working it cuts off and is not starting again.
Has anyone had a similar problem or a suggestion on what could fix this?
