Problems Installing New Carburetor
Ok so I ordered a weber carb and intake mani for my 80 rx7 I bought a couple days ago. IM NOT FAMILIAR WITH CARBS SO DONT JUDGE hahah! Yanked out all those freaking plugs and pulled off the nikki carb. I'm at the point to where my weber is on and I need to plug some stuff in. What do I not need anymore? I've been free styling it so far and just trying to make my engine look like all these other pics I've seen of aftermarket carburetors. I unplugged all these wires that weren't in these other guys pics. I wasn't able to find anyone giving directions on how to take off the nikki and install any other carb. So what do I not need and what DO I need? Pleas help!

Search the 1st gen forum! There's a sticky about stripping the Nikki down to bare minimum parts and another one about FSM's. On the FSM page there is a whole blue PDF sheet on the Nikki. How it works, anatomy, etc. Don't just go pulling plugs without knowing what they are, You may end up with a hell of a mess. I'm cleaning my Nikki out ATM. Let us know how it goes!
