Max WHP and PSI (stock internals ) please help :)
Hi my name is Pedro Marchett
I just bought a Rx-7 , and I want to tune it
The trick is that I don't want to open the engine at all (stock internals). And I want the maximum power with this set up
My upgrades are:
Engine:
GReddy TD06 20g
Sequential injection system (ECU) two injectors for each rotor (low and high rpm)
2 stroke oil in the fuel
Alcohol (ethanol)
Front mount intercooler
Transmission:
LSD (OEM)
Twin disk clutch
Handling:
Brembo brakes
Suspension
What would be the maximum PSI for this set ups with stock internals ?
And maximum WHP ?
I want to make 2 maps one for racing more power and psi and one for daily drive with less power and psi but I want to be the most reliable as possible in both maps
Tank you very much
Best regard Pedro Marchett

Good news- you will not overstress your motor, trans, rear end with the TD06-20G as it is limited to the same power/flow as the stock twin turbos.
on gasoline people make ~350rwhp @15psi and max the turbo at ~370rwhp @whatever boost you can get it to hold on a rotary.
On 100% Ethanol alcohol you will make a bit more than the above figures and easily be able to max out the turbo. You will need very big injectors- Four Bosch EV14 2000cc and a very high flow fuel pump.
TD06-20G is what Greddy kit uses as street car turbo for rotaries.
If running on 100% Ethanol no reason for two maps/boost levels on this turbo as it won't be able to hold much over 20psi on a rotary due to its small compressor size.

Tank you very much BLUE TII
And what would be the reliability of the engine on 15 psi well tuned ?

100% Ethanol is the most reliable pump fuel in terms of the engine reliability as it is 108-113 Octane (By US AKI R=M/2 method). That is higher octane than all but 116 and 118 Octane Leaded Race Gas.
The TD06-20G turbo you have can't approach the mechanical power limitations of the rotary nor spool fast enough nor move enough air raise the boost enough to approach the knock limits of the fuel on a rotary.
If you run a Garret GT35R or bigger GT turbo or EFR 7670 or bigger EFR turbo you could start to reach the potential of the 100% Ethanol fuel octane rating with 30-40psi boost and exceed the limits of the stock 13BREW block for rigidity with the 500+ft/lbs torque.
Ethanol is corrosive so you will have issues with your fuel system.
You will need to premix so you will have issues with your fuel system.
However, you have the most experienced people in your country to help with the fuel system as 100% Ethanol (called E100 here) is so much more common in Brazil.

So far my engine on 9.5 psi of boost on a Gready TD 06 20g my engine made 350whp on ethanol. So is not nuts to think with 15 psi and more fuel I could expect more then 400 on the wheels

I've been told that the stock 13b can handle around 500 whp without much worry. I have stock twins and @12psi I made 373 rwhp. The 20g is an awfully small turbo for a rotary though... good luck on breaking 400 rwhp with it. I have one on my SRT 4 and it's maxed at 400 whp.
