Live axle in 1st gen
What do you think i should do with the live rear axle? i want to put a independant setup on it but im not sure it would drift good , it would also take way more money, anyone have any suggestions?

welcome to the board.
unless you have the resources (money, tools, knowledge and money) to convert to an independent setup, i think you should leave the live axle in place and just do what you can with the suspension to tailor it to your needs.
there are quite a few threads around different sections of the board by Gen I owners who set their cars up for drifting. obviously, you should start in the Gen I section, but there is also a Racing section that cover drifting. you will also find many threads on modifications to Gen I cars that retain the solid rear.
