Import JDM RHD FD RX7?
Has anyone recently imported a RHD RX7?
I've read numerous threads that have used older companies that no longer exist like
motorex
evolution imports
etc
I'd be interested in importing a Spirit R or Bathurst, etc.
Besides being interesting RHD, the back seats would be useful too for my little kids.
Thanks!

In the U.S. those cars are, legally, Federal contraband and can be seized as such...no matter what the Import company says, how much they charge you and what state you might be able to get title. Oh I know there are guys that are running around in such cars with the steering wheel on the silly side. Roll of the dice. Most of the time officials have full plates dealing with other issues. But occasionally there can be an enforcement push. There MAYBE a legal way around it, but it's IMO, stupidly expensive and the value of the car is seriously compromised (see link).
As for the back-seat, you can buy all the components if you really want, but not even your little kids will want to ride back there.
Oh...btw, kind of suggests a reason why those companies aren't in business anymore...doesn't it?

Thanks for the links.
The last legal option would be to import a 25 year old classic....
I guess I could import a 91 FD next year... Any recs for which one would be best?
