How light is it possible to make a fd?

Right now my fd sits around 1100kg (2400lbs) but windows are still glass and the dash is still untouched.. (The rest of the interiour is ripped out and seats are changed to lighter ones).

Is it possible to get it down to under 950kg (2000lbs) and yes powersteering, ac and heating is also ripped out..

Is fibre glass doors and hatch worth changing? (Carbonfibre is too expensive)

If you ripped out all stock electrical, got the engine bay as bare as you can, wired a stand alone, and changed all the glass to lexan, probably possible

Toss spare, hatch plastics and bins. Only one seat. Side glass removed and Lexan front and rear might...MIGHT get you another 75 or 100 lbs. Titanium exhaust, single turbo (if you're not there yet), all the insulation/undercoating removed, CF fenders, doors, hood and hatch, remove all the bumper reinforcements, high dollar (light) wheels, fuel cell, mini-battery. Track/lightweight flywheel, aluminum or carbon driveshaft. That's about all I can think of but still I don't think that'll get you the other 300 lbs. And since presumably this is for track use, you'll have to add back in the weight of a roll bar (minimum) and probably a cage to pass any tech.
Suppose anything is possible. But I don't recall ever hearing of a FD getting under 2k lbs.

Most of those things are already done sgt... There isnt much things left to remove but glass, dash, the doorsides.

But does anyone know how much weight there is to save by changing doors/boot etc.. I have a mazdaspeed hood that seems very light.

OEM hood is already light too being aluminum. Doors are very heavy - not sure how much they weigh but lately we were installing my FD doors back with three people in work (two of us holding a door another one putting the bolts in) and I can assure they weren't lightweight at all.

What supplier sells lightweight doors etc? The carbon might be alittle pricey but fibreglass might be worth changing to.

How much FD do you want left?

Garage Revolution FD is 2,200lbs and you could easily take off 100-200lbs of wheel/tire/brake/safety if your goal was just light weight.

Just swapped my hood recently with carbon fibre one, the difference in weight between the two was negligible.

maybe related question... when you remove a lot of weight from the car, do you need new suspension dampers/springs/sways?

No offense, but this seems like a big 'duh' given that OEM is aluminum. A vented hood would at least help with lowering pressure in the engine bay and aid performance. But just swapping it for CF means a lot of money spent and usually some fitment issues for the cosmetics and to lose a pound or two.

Interesting question...which I bet you already know the answer to. Intuitively I think... yes/yes/maybe
If dedicated for the track, I would think corner weighting and pre-load on the sway would be changed.

Counterpoint-

Real CF race hood weighs 7lbs and eliminates the headlights as well for additional weight savings.

RE Amemiya offers the CF roof I believe.

IDK if it is dry layup though.
